DESCRIPTION of SPECIAL EVENTS




Welcome back BBQ
Saturday, Feb 4th 11am - 1pm
- Serve Hot Dogs, chips and drinks from 11am - 12pm
- We will have the uniform exchange table available if you would like to bring old baseball pants, belts, equipment or cleats. Grab an extra pair of practice pants or cleats for your player.
- Amy Underwood a local Realtor will be there with treats for the baseball players
- 12pm we will invite the managers up one at a time to announce the players on their team. This will be the first time the players will be hearing what team they are on. The players will be on the right field line already waiting for their name to be called. They will come on to the field once their name has been called to high five their new team.
- After the ceremony the managers can inform the new team of their preferred communication method and when practices will begin.



Opening Ceremonies Saturday, March 4 9:30am
9:30 am - Opening Ceremonies will begin with the parade of players and teams. Players, Coaches, and Team Parent need to be in uniform and lined up at left field line by 9:15am.
- Order of parade T-Ball - Single A - Double AA - Triple AAA - Majors - Intermediate
- They will parade, carrying their banner, from left field line, past home plate where they will stop for a picture, then out thru right field line into the outfield.
- After the parade all teams will remain on the field for national anthem, Little League Pledge and the ceremonial first pitch to be thrown by “Thunder” from the Lake Elsinore Storm Baseball Team.
- The Little League raffle will be open from 9am - 2pm. You may purchase tickets from the raffle table, 3 tickets for $5, 15 tickets for $10, 40 tickets for $20. We will accept cash, check, card.
- The uniform exchange table will be available from 9am - 2pm.
- There will be multiple venders available with food, treats and novelties for sale from 9am - 2pm
- The snack bar will be open all day during game time
- The snack bar will have breakfast burritos for sale starting at 8am.



Picture Day

Teams arrive 15 minutes prior to picture time dressed and ready to go.
Bring team banner and a bat.

League provides a picture packet containing: 1-5x7 team picture, 1-3.5x5 individual picture, 4 wallets, 1-3" button, 1-cardboard frame.
Complete picture order form only if interested in ordering additional pictures or buddy pictures.



Team Raffle Baskets (held during Opening Day)
Each team will put together and donate a basket this year to be raffled off at our Opening Ceremonies on March 4.
The baskets are due to Melessa Hicks by March 4 at 8am at the raffle table in front of the snack bar.
You may ask for donations from parents to purchase items for basket, parents may each bring a new item to put in basket or you may reach out to a business in the community to donate items for the basket.
You may use buckets, baskets, boxes or any other container you can think of. You do not have to cover your basket just make sure the items are secure, if you do want to cover then please use clear cellophane so the items can be clearly seen. Please put your team name somewhere on the basket.
We will sell the raffle tickets for 3 tickets for $5, 15 tickets for $10 and 40 tickets for $20. We will sell tickets on the day of Opening Ceremonies from 9am -2pm. The raffle tickets will then be placed in a bowl next to the basket of their choosing.
The winners will be announced at 2pm.
At the raffle table we will accept cash, check and will have a Square on a phone for credit card purchases.

Hit-a-Thon Fundraiser  The Week of March 27 

- We will create an electronic pledge page for every player using the email given at registration.  

- Pledge pages will be emailed to each individual player by March 13. 

- Players share their electronic pages with friends and family 

- Donors can pledge a single dollar amount or a dollar amount per hit. 

- Each player gets 10 pitches at practice the week of March 27 

- The Team Parent will record the number of balls hit by the players and return to Melessa Hicks by March 31. 

- The donors card will be charged after the number of hits are entered into the program.  

- Team with the highest amount of pledges will receive a team prize.

Storm Little League Night May 19
Parking lot opens at 4pm park in lot C
Gates Open at 6pm
Parade Line up at 5:30pm

The players, managers, coaches, and team parent will wear jerseys and hats and will parade around the field before the game, then be escorted to their seats to meet their families. They ask that only players and managers/coaches/team parent parade and the parents and siblings meet the team at the assigned seats.
1st pitch is at 7:15pm
5th inning little league group shout outs
Post game the kids run the bases
Each ticket is $15 and includes your seat, parking and a soda or water voucher.
Each player is welcome to purchase as many tickets as they would like. Parents, siblings and extended family members are all welcome.
Please write a check made out to Temescal Valley Little League with the correct $ amount and number of tickets per player.
