Temescal Valley Little League

Mission Statement

The mission of Temescal Valley Little League (TVLL) is to assist the youth of our community in developing the qualities of citizenship, discipline, teamwork, and leadership. Sports are one of the greatest resources for our youth to learn many critical life skills. By advocating the virtues of character, courage, and loyalty, the Temescal Valley Little League Baseball program is designed to develop superior citizens rather than superior athletes.

TVLL, first chartered in 1997, is a non-profit youth baseball organization that serves over 250 children, ages 4-16 years old, from our local community and continues to grow each year. In addition to practicing on-field fundamentals and the excitement of playing games in a competitive environment, Little League Baseball pridefully enlists the sport to strengthen its participants’ self-esteem and confidence.

Regardless of physical size, skill, strength, gender, religion, or nationality, TVLL offers the opportunity for a child to experience and benefit from the life lessons, socialization, and camaraderie that are the cornerstones of our program.

Our Commitment to Youth Development

We believe that participation in sports is more than just an opportunity to engage in physical activity; it is a platform for personal growth and learning. Our league provides a nurturing environment where young athletes can thrive both on and off the field. We emphasize the importance of:

  • Citizenship: Encouraging players to contribute positively to their community, understanding their role as responsible and active members of society.
  • Discipline: Instilling a sense of self-control and dedication, helping players set goals and work consistently to achieve them.
  • Teamwork: Teaching the value of working collaboratively with others, fostering a spirit of unity and mutual support.
  • Leadership: Empowering players to take initiative, demonstrate integrity, and inspire others by setting a positive example.

Whether you are looking to compete against neighboring leagues or international countries, Little League Baseball is more than an organization; it’s a community baseball program operated by local volunteers and dedicated to providing any child with a fun and engaging youth sports environment. Through structured practices, competitive games, and community events, we provide our players with numerous opportunities to practice and embody these values. Our dedicated coaches and volunteers serve as mentors, guiding our young athletes as they navigate the challenges and triumphs of both sports and life.

Safety Mission Statement

At Temescal Valley Little League, our foremost priority is to cultivate an environment that prioritizes the safety and well-being of every participant within our community. We are unwaveringly committed to fostering a secure and healthy space for players, dedicated league volunteers, caring parents, and enthusiastic spectators alike.

In pursuit of this commitment, we diligently undertake comprehensive safety planning, a dynamic process that involves the continual assessment and enhancement of our safety protocols. We proactively monitor all aspects of our league activities, ensuring that potential risks are identified and promptly addressed. Our approach extends beyond mere vigilance; we actively engage in educational initiatives that empower our community with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate our activities safely.

Through a combination of foresight, diligence, and education, we aspire to create an atmosphere where the joy of the game is complemented by a sense of security. Temescal Valley Little League is dedicated to promoting a culture of safety that resonates at every level of our organization, fostering a sense of confidence and trust among players, volunteers, parents, and spectators. Together, we stand united in our commitment to making safety an integral part of the Little League experience.
