CPR/AED & First Aid Certification At Temescal Valley Little League, the safety and well-being of our players is our top priority. To ensure we are prepared for any situation, we require all coaches and managers to complete CPR and First Aid training. This training equips our team leaders with the skills and knowledge to respond quickly and effectively to medical emergencies during games and practices.

In instances where a coach or manager is unavailable, we make every effort to ensure that at least one individual with CPR and First Aid training is present. This ensures that our players are supported by trained adults at all times, maintaining a safe environment both on and off the field.

For those who need to complete their training or renew their certification, we recommend the following programs, which offer CPR/AED & First Aid certification and provide the essential tools needed to confidently handle emergency situations:

Once you have completed your certification, please email to [email protected]

Preparedness is the foundation of our commitment to safety, and we believe that equipping our volunteers with life-saving skills is a critical first step in creating a safe and supportive experience for everyone involved in our league.

Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) Awareness and Prevention The health and safety of our players remain at the heart of everything we do at Temescal Valley Little League. Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) is a serious medical emergency that can affect young athletes, which is why education and prevention are key components of our safety efforts.

To date, 22 states have enacted laws regarding sudden cardiac arrest in student or youth athletics to safeguard the health and safety of young athletes. These laws emphasize the importance of awareness, education, and preparedness in preventing SCA incidents.

We encourage all volunteers, parents, and participants to take advantage of free SCA prevention training provided by EP Save A Life. This valuable resource helps individuals recognize the warning signs of SCA and provides guidance on how to respond in an emergency situation.

For additional information, Little League Baseball has compiled a comprehensive summary of state laws addressing sudden cardiac arrest in youth athletics. We recommend familiarizing yourself with the regulations specific to your state to stay informed and proactive.

By prioritizing education and preparation, we can work together to ensure the safety of every player on and off the field.

Diamond Leader Program Focused on ensuring children have a positive, well-rounded experience on and off the field, the Little League® Diamond Leader Training Program is a FREE educational resource that provides coaches with an understanding of the impact that mental, social, and emotional well-being has in youth sports through detailed information, interactive scenarios, and a variety of additional resources.
