Scorekeeper and Pitch Counter

SCOREKEEPER & PITCH COUNTER

Scorekeepers and pitch counters are responsible for keeping an accurate record of the game to include team line up, minimum play, score and pitch count. They also calculate days of rest and obtain managers’ signatures after each game.

All competitive divisions (AA, AAA, Majors, Intermediate and Juniors) are required to have AT LEAST one scorekeeper. We recommend 2 to 3, in case one scorekeeper is unavailable for a game. The Home team is required to provide the Scorekeeper and the Visiting team is required to provide the Pitch Counter. All scorekeepers MUST attend the scorekeeping clinic.

Batting Order Form - Example of batting order form. Both home and away team managers will provide you with a completed form prior to the game starting.
Scorekeeper Log Sheet - Example of the log sheet. The home team manager will provide you with the official scorebook for the game.
Pitching Log Form - Helps you track pitch count per player.
Pitcher Eligibility Tracking Form - Each team should provide you with a tracking form. This document is official and should be completed in pen and signed off by each manager after the game.
